We really didn't need The Pope to talk about Islam, did we? I really don't know what the hell he was thinking, but waxing philisophical about another major world religion should not be in his domain. And if he does, it damn well better be to build bridges to other religions like Pope John Paul number 2 did.

I liked Bush for about 30 seconds this week - when he was (probably falsely) praising former Governer Ann Richards. Then I heard that he said that we were in the 'Third Awakening' in regards to our confrontation of good and evil. Man oh man. Between The Pope and Bush, why would Muslims think that our fight is with them? Oh yeah, because people keep phrasing it in religious terms.
